We at INGRI:DAHL love to interview inspiring and motivational people for our weekly Midweek Motivation column. Reading about another person’s experiences or take on how to be successful give us a kick midweek to give a little extra at our designer 3D glasses company! This week we have interviewed the multitalented Freya Olsen. Enjoy!
1. Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Freya Olsen and for the last few years I have run an agency with a focus on international artists. Aside from that, I produce/create/curate/promote/write …..I am one of those.
2. Your favorite trip ever and why?
It’s so hard to choose one trip out of so many places and so many memories. I think the best trips have always been the fun trips. Fun trips that have taken me to catch fresh fish off a boat, prepare it, and eat it as sushi right there, or ones that have seen me climb up magnetic hills, or have led me to go snorkeling around coral reefs. But I think that for pure pleasure, it would have to be Bermuda because of the pink sanded beaches and just because of life on the island.
3. What is your favorite 3D movie and which one are you looking forward to?
Both answers will have to be Ang Lee’s Life of Pi.
4. Who is your style icon?
I don’t have a particular style icon, I admire Andrej Pejic and Candy Darling and feel cliché when I say Kate Bush; she has influenced so many with an individuality that has run throughout her work. But I feel that a style icon should represent what you are feeling and so this has to change with what you, personally, are trying to “communicate”. Right now I am reading a lot, so I am drawn to, but not dressing like, Virginia Woolf.
5. What are three things you can’t live without?
After the blackout: I would have to say-a hairdryer, hot coffee-and a TAXI….
6. What is your advice to someone who is pursuing their passion as a career?
It’s simple: Be diligent, Nice, professional – and get a Network.
